Newport Flavors Acorn Flavor Concentrate is Kosher, Gluten-free, Vegan, The essential oils are emulsified and stabilized into a water soluble form. Newport FlavorsAcorn Flavor can be used in many recipes. Acorns are often used in Korean style foods. The delicate flavor is similar to cashews or macadamia nuts. This Acorn Flavor is heat stable up to 375 degrees and up to one hour. It works well in dairy applications such as ice cream, yogurt, milkshakes, and protein shakes. It finds additional uses as a flavoring for pies and cakes, as well as prepared meats like sausage and pork chops. The concentrate is also good as an enhancer for sauces and jams. Newport FlavorsAcorn Flavor Concentrate is very strong, so a little goes a long way. Care should be taken to not use too much or over-flavor a product. If you taste the flavor longer than 3 to 5 seconds on your palate or if your tasting a metallic or taste, then you have over-flavored. Remember, more is not always better. Just enough to tease the taste buds. Blending our Vanilla Extract or our Vanilla Flavor Concentrate with the Acorn Flavor Concentrate will smooth out the flavor and enhance it. Vanilla extracts act as an enhancer much the same way as cream and sugar are to coffee.
