The Allspice Berries are extracted through steam distillation. The essential oils are emulsified and stabilized into a water soluble form. Newport Flavors' Allspice Flavor can be used in many recipes. This Allspice Flavor is heat stable up to 375 degrees and up to one hour. It works well in dairy applications such as ice cream, puddings, milkshakes, and protein shakes. Try this flavoring for pies and cakes as well as prepared meats like sausage and pork chops. The Allspice Flavor Concentrate is also good as an enhancer for sauces and jams. Newport Flavors' Allspice Flavor Concentrate is very strong, so little goes a long way. Care should be taken to not use too much or over flavor a product. If you taste the flavor longer than 3 to 5 seconds on your palate or if youre tasting a metallic or taste, then you have over-flavored the product. Remember, more is not always better. Just enough to tease the taste buds. Over-flavoring usually means you will get tired of the flavor quickly and never use it again.
